Very Windy Conditions Will Continue Through This Afternoon & Into Tonight

Some of the peak wind gusts so far from the strong winds have been pretty impressive. These wind gusts include 68 mph wind gusts at the Worcester Airport and the Fitchburg Airport. Here in Sturbridge, I have recorded a peak wind gust so far of 56 mph. Across Western Mass, the peak wind gusts have been lower with Westfield recording a peak wind gust so far of 48 mph.

Very windy conditions along with the possibility of some isolated snow showers are expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. West winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50-65 mph can be expected.

For Tonight - Partly cloudy skies, very cold and very windy conditions are expected. Low temperatures will be between Zero and 5 above zero. Winds will be West at 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50-55 mph. Wind chill temperatures tonight will be around 20 below zero.

Tuesday will be a partly sunny, cold and windy day with high temperatures between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be West at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40-50 mph.

Wednesday looks partly sunny and continued cold with high temperatures between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

Storm looks to be an almost complete miss for Thursday with the potential for either a little bit of light snow or even no snow at all. That said, the Thursday storm will be watched, in case the storm track tries to shift further west.
