Snow Late Sunday Night Into Monday Morning Changes To Rain By Midday Monday Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: Clear skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph before midnight and becoming Southwest at 10 to 15 mph after midnight.

Saturday & Saturday Night: Another cold front is expected to move across the area during Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.

Skies will start out sunny to partly sunny during Saturday morning with a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds expected during Saturday afternoon. Additionally, some isolated rain showers can be expected during late Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. High temperatures Saturday will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

As we get into Saturday night, expect any isolated showers during the early evening hours to give way to clear skies by midnight. Clear skies are then expected during the after midnight hours. Low temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30-35 mph.

Sunday: An area of high pressure will very briefly build across the region during the day on Sunday.

This means that lots of sunshine can be expected throughout the day on Sunday with high temperatures near 45 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Sunday Night & Monday: An area of low pressure is expected to move across the central and eastern Great Lakes region during Sunday night and then crosses northern New England during Monday. At the same time this is occurring, it is expected that a warm front will lift northward across the region during the late night hours of Sunday night into the day on Monday.

Precipitation is expected to overspread the entire area during the after midnight hours of Sunday night. It appears that there will be enough cold air in place for the precipitation to be in the form of snow across the entire area when it begins during the after midnight hours of Sunday night.

This snow may last into the first part of Monday morning before it changes to rain from south to north during the mid and late morning hours of Monday. The rain is then expected to continue through midday Monday before it comes to an end by the early and mid-afternoon hours of Monday.

Even though it is expected to snow for a while late Sunday night into part of Monday morning, snow amounts are anticipated to be fairly light with most areas seeing up to one inch of snow accumulation. The exception to this could be across the northern Worcester Hills and across the Berkshires where 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation is a possibility.

Low temperatures Sunday night will be between 25 and 30 Degrees. High temperatures by Monday afternoon will be between 40 and 45 Degrees.

Tuesday Through Next Friday: A partly sunny day is expected on Tuesday with high temperatures near 50 Degrees.

Another weather system will affect the area during Wednesday bringing with it a cloudy day, along with the possibility of some rain shower activity. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.

Thursday and next Friday both look sunny to partly sunny. High temperatures Thursday will be near 45 Degrees. High temperatures next Friday will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.
