For Tonight: Skies are expected to start out clear to partly cloudy this evening, but will become cloudy during the after midnight hours of tonight. Some areas of fog and drizzle will also move in by sunrise Thursday morning.
Low temperatures tonight will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: A fairly dreary day is expected on Thursday as an east to southeast wind flow imports lots of clouds, areas of fog and drizzle into the region throughout the day on Thursday.
High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night Through Friday: A frontal system is still expected to push through the area during late Thursday night into the day on Friday. As it does so, an area of low pressure will form along this front somewhere just south of the south coast of New England by early Friday morning. It is now looking like this low pressure system probably will not be able to pull down enough cold air on its western side to cause a widespread change from rain to snow on Friday morning. Instead, all precipitation on Thursday night and Friday will probably be in the form of all rain.
It now looks like rain will begin across the entire area during the after midnight hours of Thursday night. The rain is then expected to continue through all of Friday morning before it gradually tapers off and ends during Friday afternoon.
Total rainfall amounts from late Thursday night into the day on Friday are expected to average between one half of an inch (0.50”) and three quarters of an inch (0.75”).
Low temperatures Thursday night will be near 35 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees.
Winds on Thursday night will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph before midnight and North to Northeast at 7 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds on Friday will be North to Northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
This Weekend: A weak secondary frontal system is expected to push through the area during Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening with high pressure building in during the day on Sunday.
Saturday looks to feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with some scattered showers during the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees.
Sunday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.
Early Next Week: Yet another frontal system and its associated low pressure is expected to move through the area during Monday afternoon and Monday night. While mostly all rain is expected with this weather system from Monday afternoon through Monday night, it’s possible that the precipitation may start as snow on Monday afternoon and Monday evening across the northern Worcester Hills and the Berkshires. Any snow on Monday afternoon and Monday evening should change to all rain during the overnight hours of Monday night.
Rain is then expected to come to an end by early Tuesday morning with skies remaining cloudy throughout the day on Tuesday.
High temperatures Monday will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Low temperatures Monday night will be near 35 Degrees. High temperatures Tuesday will be near 50 Degrees.
