For Tonight: A warm front will continue to lift northward through the area during the first half of tonight. This will lead to rain continuing across the entire area throughout this evening and right through midnight tonight.
During the after midnight hours of tonight, it is expected that warm front will be positioned to our north and because of this the rain will taper off to a few passing showers during the after midnight hours.
Temperatures this evening will remain steady between 35 and 40 Degrees and will rise to between 40 and 45 Degrees during the after midnight hours.
Winds this evening will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Winds during the after midnight hours will be West at 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday: A cold front is expected to push through the region during the late morning and early afternoon hours of Sunday.
It is expected that a round of widespread showers will affect the entire area throughout the morning hours right up until about midday.
During Sunday afternoon, drier air will temporarily push into the region leading to a period of dry conditions, but cloudy skies during the afternoon hours.
High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Sunday Night Through Monday: An area of low pressure is expected to form near the Mid-Atlantic coastline during the late night hours of Sunday night and then track to the southeast of Nantucket during Monday.
It appears that precipitation in the form of rain will overspread the region just after midnight Sunday night. The rain is then expected to continue through the late night hours of Sunday night. As we get into the predawn hours of Monday morning, it appears that colder air may try to filter down into the region leading to the rain to change to some snow across the northern Worcester Hills and across the Berkshires. The rain is expected to mix with and may even change to sleet across the rest of Central and Western Mass during the predawn hours of Monday morning.
Turning to Monday morning, it is expected that some snow will continue across the northern Worcester Hills and across the Berkshires and for sleet and rain to change to some snow across the rest of the area.
A mix of snow and rain looks to continue into early Monday afternoon before it comes to an end by mid-afternoon Monday.
Most areas of Western and Central Mass may see, at most, a dusting of slushy snow during Monday morning. The exception to this may be across the northern Worcester Hills and the Berkshires where around one inch or so of snow accumulation looks possible late Sunday night and Monday morning.
Low temperatures Sunday night will be near 35 Degrees. High temperatures Monday will be near 40 Degrees. Winds on Sunday night will be North to Northwest at 8 to 16 mph. Winds on Monday will be North to Northeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday: A partly sunny day is expected on Tuesday with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.
