A strong frontal system now pushing into the eastern parts of the Great Lakes is expected to slowly move through our area later tonight into the day on Monday. This front will bring with it a period of heavy rain to the entire area from about midnight tonight until about midday on Monday.
Cloudy skies are expected throughout the rest of this afternoon. In addition, expect there will be some areas of drizzle at times. Temperatures will remain between 58 and 63 Degrees. Winds will be South at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
As we get into this evening, expect there to be some scattered showers around, however, the steady heavy rain will hold off until about midnight.
Heavy rain will overspread the entire area by around midnight tonight and then continue throughout the after midnight hours of tonight. Heavy rain is then expected to continue through all of Monday morning before it tapers off to some scattered showers around midday Monday. Scattered showers are then expected to continue throughout Monday afternoon before all precipitation ends later Monday afternoon.
Total rainfall amounts from tonight through Monday will average between one and one half inches (1.50") and two inches (2.00").
In addition to the heavy rain tonight, it is also expected to be windy throughout tonight with South winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Mild temperatures are expected tonight with low temperatures of 50 to 55 Degrees. Temperatures on Monday will be steady near 55 Degrees.
