A Couple Of Rounds Of Rain Is Expected Through Sunday Night Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: A frontal system is expected to push through the region this evening. This means that skies tonight will be cloudy and there will be a continuation of rain showers this evening. As we get into the after midnight hours, I expect areas of drizzle and perhaps a few stray leftover rain showers around. Low temperatures will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday & Saturday Night: Moisture will linger across the region during Saturday and Saturday night and because of this, skies will be cloudy throughout the day on Saturday. Skies will remain cloudy right through Saturday night. High temperatures Saturday will be will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Low temperatures on Saturday night will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds Saturday will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Saturday night will be West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday Through Monday: A couple of low pressure systems are expected to pass near the coast of Southern New England. The first low pressure system should pass through during Sunday afternoon and the second low pressure system moving through on Sunday night and Monday morning. Sunday should be mild enough so that the precipitation will be all rain across the entire area. This rain looks to occur from about mid-morning Sunday through Sunday afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 10 to 20 mph. As we get into Sunday night and Monday, there is going to be a race between precipitation moving out and colder air moving in from the north. At this point, I think the colder air will arrive after the precipitation ends late Sunday night. This means that the precipitation type on Sunday night should remain as rain and any snow will occur well to the north across central and northern parts of Vermont and New Hampshire. This all means that rain will continue through all of Sunday night and temperatures will be around 40 Degrees. Rain ends early Monday morning with a mixture of sunshine and clouds expected during the daytime hours of Monday. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Tuesday through Thursday: A weak area of high pressure is expected to control the weather during the middle part of next week. Generally partly sunny skies are expected during Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures during Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be between 35 and 40 Degrees.
